How do you know when a collection bin is full? Until now: you didn't. We simply drove by regularly and checked. Sometimes the bin was full, sometimes nearly empty. That was neither efficient nor ecologically sensible.
A QR Code on Every Bin
The solution is simple: each of our red collection bins now has a QR code on the lid. When someone opens the bin to drop in wax remnants, they can scan the code with their smartphone and report the fill level in just a few seconds.
Three Clicks, Nothing More
- 🟢 Nearly empty – keep collecting
- 🟡 Still room, but almost full
- 🔴 The bin is overflowing – please empty!
It's that simple. No login, no app installation, no password. The report goes through wachswandel.de/scan and takes less than 10 seconds.
What This Changes
Since launching the digital reporting feature, we know much better where pickups are needed. This saves unnecessary trips, reduces empty runs, and helps us plan tours more efficiently. Our partners at the collection points also feel heard: their report is acknowledged, and the bin is emptied promptly.
